At 10:25 PM we were dispatched to a residence with water in their basement up to the bottom stair step on Boyd Road. We pumped the water out of their basement. We had our 2nd Chief and 7 members respond. We were back in service at 11:28 PM.

3-29-14 Assist Alton Ambulance with lifting

 At 10:27 AM we were called to assist Alton Ambulance with lifting on North Geneva Road. We had 2 firefighters answered the call. We were back in service at 10:35 AM.

03-23-14 CO2 Detector Activation

At 4:26 AM we were dispatched for a CO2 Detector Activation on Boyd Road. It was determined that it was a faulty detector. We had 3 Chiefs and 7 firefighters responded to the call. We were back in service at 5:09 AM.

03-15-14 F.A.S.T. Team to North Rose Possible House Fire

At  6:58 PM our Firefighter Assist and Search Team (FAST) was dispatched via Automatic Mutual Aid (AMA) to a house with sparks and smoke coming from electrical box on Gray Street in North Rose. The North Rose Chief canceled our response when he arrived at the scene. We had our 1st Assistant Chief and 12 members respond to the call. We were back in service at 7:02 PM.

02-03-14 AMA with Sodus for CO2 Detector Activation

 At 2:58 PM we were dispatched via Automatic Mutual Aid (AMA) with Sodus for CO2 Detector Activation on Curtis Avenue. Sodus Command instructed us to standby in our hall.  Our Chief and 4 firefighters responded to the call. We were back in service at 3:13 PM.

 3-13-14 Assist Alton Ambulance with lifting

 At 11:30 AM we were called to assist Alton Ambulance with lifting on Shaker Road. Our 1st Assistant Chief and 1 firefighter answered the call. We were back in service at 11:55 AM

2-20-14 Possible Electrical Fire

 At 12:45 AM were called out for a possible electrical fire. The caller stated they could smell and see some smoke and thought it might be electric. The cause was a problem with the heat tape on the water pipes. We had our 2nd Assistant Chief and 5 firefighters at the scene. We were back in service at 1:40 AM.

02-17-14 AMA with Sodus with Smoke Possible Structure

At 5:06 PM we were called out with Sodus via Automatic Mutual Aid (AMA) to a Rotterdam Road with caller reporting a lot of smoke in the area. Sodus command on arrival stated the smoke was from an outdoor wood stove. We had 2 chiefs 4 firefighters respond to the call. We were back in service at 5:10 PM. 

02-16-14  F.A.S.T. Team to E. Williamson Church Fire

At 2:56 PM Our Firefighter Assist and Search Team (FAST) was dispatched to a church fire on Ridge Road in East Williamson. The caller stated flames were coming out of the church. Our 4 Chiefs and 11 members responded to the call. We were back in service at 5:24 PM.

02-15-14 AMA with Alton for Snowmobile Accident Victim

At 2:10 PM we were called, via Automatic Mutual Aide (AMA), with Alton for a snowmobile accident victim at their fire hall on Route 14. The victim was driven there from Wolcott and was having difficulty breathing.  On arrival Alton command released us. We had our Chief and 4 firefighters who made the response. We were back in service at 2:14 PM.

02-15-14 AMA with Sodus with Smoke from an electrical outlet.

At 11:57 AM  we were called out with Sodus via Automatic Mutual Aid (AMA) to a Gaylord Street residence reporting smoke from an electrical outlet. Sodus command request us to standby in our quarters. We had 2 chiefs and 5 firefighters respond to the call. We were back in service at 12:06 PM. 

02-10-14 AMA with Alton for MVA

At 9:22 AM we were called, via Automatic Mutual Aide (AMA), with Alton for a Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA) at Route 104 and Route14 caused by poor road condition. There were no injuries. We assist with traffic control. We had our Chief and 10 firefighters who made the response. We were back in service at 9:49 AM.

02-04-14 Standby for Sodus Center Chimney Fire

At 6:49 AM we were requested by Sodus Center Command to Standby for Alton and them while they were at a Chimney Fire on Quarry Road. We had 3 Chiefs and 9 firefighters who respond to this call. We were back in service at 9:17 AM

02-03-14 Gas Leak

At 6:49 PM County Fire Control dispatched to a reported of an odor of gas on Ridge Road by Wayne County Advance Life Support (ALS). Our 3rd Assistance Chief request Fire Control to notify RG&E of a confirmed gas leak. We stood by until RG&E arrived. We had our 3rd Assistance Chief and 4 members respond the call. We were back in service at 7:38 PM

 02-03-14 AMA with Sodus for CO2 Detector Activation

At 9:01 AM we were dispatched via Automatic Mutual Aid (AMA) with Sodus for CO2 Detector Activation on Spring Street. We used our CO2 Detector. Sodus Command requested RG&E and released us. Our 3rd Assistant Chief and 6 firefighters responded to the call. We were back in service at 9:52 AM.

02-01-14 Chief Investigation

At 8:44 AM the County Dispatch request a Chief to check a house for possible fire where an oxygen hose flared up burning the person using it on North Geneva Road. Our 3rd Assistant Chief reported to Fire Control that was no fire. The person on oxygen received burns and was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital. We had 2 Chiefs and 8 members responded. We were back in service at 8:52 AM

01-27-14 Mercy Flight Landing Pedestrian Struck for Lyons

At 2:51 PM we were called to setup a Landing Zone for Mercy Flight for a pedestrian struck by a vehicle on Maple Street Road. We had our Chief and 8 members respond to the call. We were back in service at 3:44 PM.

At 2:35 PM we were called for a pedestrian struck by a vehicle at North Geneva Road and Route 104. The information was incorrect. The correct address was in Lyons district. We had our Chief and 6 members respond to the call. We were back in service at 2:45 PM. 

01-24-14 AMA with Alton for MVA

At 6:42 AM we were called, via Automatic Mutual Aide (AMA), with Alton for a Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA) at Red Mill Road and Route 14. Sodus Highway reported a vehicle on its side in the creek. On arrival Alton command released us from standby. The only person in the vehicle had left the scene and went to a friend’s house. We had 2 Chiefs and 6 firefighters who made the response. We were back in service at 7:11 AM.

01-10-14 F.A.S.T. Team to North Rose Possible House Fire

At  5:44 AM our Firefighter Assist and Search Team (FAST) was dispatched via Automatic Mutual Aid (AMA) to house full of smoke on Elm Street in North Rose. The caller stated there was just smoke now. The North Rose Chief canceled our response when he arrived at the scene. We had 2 Assistant Chiefs and 5 members respond to the call. We were back in service at 6:00 PM.

01-09-14 Residential Water Problems

At 6:01 PM we were dispatched to a residence with 6 inches of water in their basement on North Geneva Road. We pumped the water out of their basement. We had 2 Chiefs and 6 members respond. We were back in service at 8:18 PM.

At 8:47 AM we were dispatched to a residence with 6 inches of water in their basement on Ridge Road. We pumped the water out of their basement. We had our 1st Assistant Chief and 7 members respond. We were back in service at 9:32 AM.

01-05-14 Assist Town of Sodus Water Department

At 8:19 PM we were dispatched to assist Town of Sodus Water Department with our Tanker on Maple Avenue Extension flush a water line. We had our 3rd Assistant Chief and 3 firefighters respond. We were back in service at 11:16 AM.

 01-04-14 Wires Sparking 

At 5:40 PM while we at Wolcott’s house fire, we received a called for wires sparking at Route 104 and Barclay Road. Fire Control dispatched Sodus to the scene to assist. Sodus Command stated it was Indictor Lights on the wires and Fire Control notified RG&E. We 5 of our firefighters respond to the scene. We were back in service at 5:45 PM.

 01-4-14 Mutual Aid with Wolcott for a House Fire

 At 4:47 PM Wolcott request our Tanker and manpower to a house fire on North Huron Road. Resident saw smoke coming from his house when he was returning home. No one was at home at the time. We had our 2nd Assistant Chief and 8 firefighters respond. We were back in service at 8:24 PM.

 01-2-14 AMA with Sodus for CO2 Detector Activation

At 1:02 PM we were dispatched via Automatic Mutual Aid (AMA) with Sodus for CO2 Detector Activation on Rotterdam Road.  Sodus Command canceled our response. The investigation found it to be a problem with the batteries. Two Chiefs and 3 firefighters responded to the call. We were back in service at 1:07 PM.

12-21-13 Residential Water Problems

At 11:34 PM we were dispatched to a residence with 2-3 feet of water in their basement on Boyd Road. We pumped the water out of their basement. We had 2 Assistant Chiefs and 6 members respond. We were back in service at 12:59 AM.

12-13-13 AM with Alton for MVA

 At 11:06 AM we were called, via Automatic Mutual Aide (AMA), with Alton for a Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA) on Route 14. We shutdown the south bound lane while Alton attend to a vehicle that hit an apple tree. We had 2 Assistant Chiefs and 9 firefighters who made the response. We were back in service at 12:16 PM.

12-11-13 AMA w/ Sodus for Fire Alarm Activation

At 4:31 PM we were dispatched, via Automatic Mutual Aide (AMA), with Sodus for smoke in a house on Ridge Road. It was determined that the smoke was caused by a problem with the furnace, no fire. Sodus Chief put us a standby. We had our 2nd Assistant Chief and 6 firefighters responded to the call. We were back in service at 4:52 PM

12-05-13 AMA w/ Sodus for Fire Alarm Activation

 At 4:58 PM we were dispatched via Automatic Mutual Aide (AMA), with Sodus for smoke in the building on Main Street in the village. It was determined that the smoke was from a pot spilling onto the stove. Sodus Chief put us a standby. We had 7 firefighters responded to the call. We were back in service at 5:08 PM.

11-29-13 AMA w/ Sodus for Fire Alarm Activation

At 10:29 PM we were dispatched via Automatic Mutual Aide (AMA), with Sodus for smoke in the building on Newark Street. It was determined that the smoke was from a small fire in a closet, which was extinguished with a fire extinguisher. We were put a standby. We had our 3 Assistant Chiefs and 5 firefighters responded to the call. We were back in service at 10:56 PM.

11-27-13 Hazardous Conditions

At 2:52 AM Fire Control dispatched us to a tree limb down blocking State Street caused heavy snow through the area. Sheriff Deputy, responding to a possible prowler, removed the tree from the road and canceled our response. We had our 4th Assistance Chief and 1 member respond prior to the cancellation. We were back in service at 2:57 AM.

11-26-13 F.A.S.T. Team to South Butler Structure Fire

At  11:53 AM our Firefighter Assist and Search Team (FAST) was dispatched to a structure fire on Basset Road in South Butler. The caller stated there were flames showing. We had 2 Chiefs and 4 members respond to the call. We were back in service at 12:33 PM.

11-23-13 One-Vehicle Rollover MVA

At 5:12 PM we were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident (MVA) at Birchwood Lane and Ridge Road involving one car that had rolled over. There was no entrapment. Medical personnel, of who found no serious injuries, checked the 2 occupants. We had our Chief and 2nd Assistance Chief and 16 members respond to the incident. We were back in service at 6:26 AM.

11-18-13 Two Vehicle MVA

At 5:28 PM we were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident (MVA) at North Geneva and Ridge Road involving 2 cars. No one was seriously injured. We had 2 Assistance Chiefs and 7 members respond to the incident. We were back in service at 6:01 PM.

11-18-13  AMA w/ Alton Sparks coming Power Lines to house 

At 6:32 AM we were dispatched via Automatic Mutual Aide (AMA) with Alton to a possible house fire on Ridge Road. The caller stated sparks were coming from the power line going into the house. The sparks were cause by a piece of flashing on the wire. RG&E respond and took care of the problem. We had our 1st Assistant Chief and 6 firefighters who respond. We were back in service 6:49 AM.

11-13-13 Two Vehicle MVA

At 6:11 PM we were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident (MVA) at Barclay and Ridge Road involving one pickup truck and a motorcycle. The motorcyclist was pinned under motorcycle. One person was fatally injured. We had our 3 Assistance Chiefs and 18 members respond to the incident. We were back in service at 10:41 PM.

11-01-13  Hazardous Conditions

At 1:55 PM Fire Control dispatched us to a tree down blocking Route 104 caused by high wind that passed through the area. We removed the tree from the road. We had our 3rd  Assistance Chief and 12 members assist removing the tree. We were back in service at 2:14 PM.

10-31-13 Mutual Aid with Sodus for MVA

At 4:40 PM Sodus request us block traffic at Buermam Road while they were working a motor vehicle accident (MVA) on Ridge Road. A vehicle went into a utility pole. We had our 1st Assistant Chief and 9 firefighters who made the response. We were back in service at 5:40 PM.

10-21-13 AMA with Sodus Auto-alarm

At 2:12 PM we were called out with Sodus via Automatic Mutual Aid (AMA) for Fire/Smoke Alarm Activation on Maple Avenue. Sodus Assistance Chief request we stay in our hall for standby. Our Chief and 2 firefighters respond to the call. We were back in service at 2:47 PM. 

10-18-13 One Vehicle MVA

At 8:57 AM we were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident (MVA) on North Geneva Road involving one car that had rolled over and was still upside down. There was no entrapment. One person was taken to hospital. We had our 4th Assistance Chief and 8 members respond to the incident. We were back in service at 9:51 AM.

10-17-13 Mutual Aid with Alton for MVA

 At 1:55 PM Alton request our Thermo-Imaging Camera to check for cause of Smoke/Fire Detector activation on Route 14. We had our 4th Assistant Chief and 8 firefighters who made the response. We were back in service at 2:22 PM

At 5:05 PM we were called, via Automatic Mutual Aide (AMA), with Alton for a minor 2 vehicle Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA) on Ridge Road. Our response was canceled. We had 2 Assistant Chiefs and 7 firefighters who made the response. We were back in service at 5:14 PM.

10-09-13 Asset Putneyville with Search

At 10:37 AM we were requested by Putneyville to assist continuing search for a missing person since previous evening. Responding to the call was 1 Chief and 3 firefighters. We were back in service at 1:20 PM

10-02-13 Two Vehicle MVA

At 6:14AM we were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident (MVA) on Ridge Road involving 1 car and a motorcycle. There was one person taken to hospital to be checked over. We had 2 Chiefs and 7 members respond to assist. We were back in service at 6:34 AM.

09-17-13 Mutual Aid with Alton for MVA

 At 6:54 AM Alton request us for Fire Police for traffic control while they were working an electrical fire on Route 14. We had our 2 Assistant Chiefs and 8 firefighters who made the response. We were back in service at 7:34 AM.

 09-17-13 AMA with Sodus Auto-alarm.

 At 3:55 PM we were called out with Sodus via Automatic Mutual Aid (AMA) for Smoke Detector activated in an apartment on Main Street in the village. Upon arrival on the scene, Sodus request us to standby in our hall. We had 3 firefighters answered the call. We were back in service at 4:10 PM.

 09-17-13 AMA with Sodus Auto-alarm.

 At 2:23 PM we were called out with Sodus via Automatic Mutual Aid (AMA) for smoke in the building on Maple Avenue. The smoke was from burnt food. Our Chief and 4 firefighters answered the call. We were back in service at 2:53 PM.

09-10-13 AMA with Sodus Fire Detector Activated

At 11:55 AM we were called out with Sodus via Automatic Mutual Aid (AMA) for a residence fire detector activated on West Main Street. Upon arrival, Sodus command canceled our response. We 6 firefighters respond to the call. We were back in service at 12:13 PM. 

08-29-13 Assist Town of Sodus Water Department

At 8:19 PM we were dispatched to assist Town of Sodus Water Department with lighting up area of a water main break on Ridge Road. We utilized our light tower on our Rescue truck. We had 2 Chiefs and 2 firefighters respond. We were back in service at 9:06 PM

08-20-13 Two Vehicle MVA

At 11:49 AM we were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident (MVA) at Route 104 and North Geneva Road involving 2 cars.  There was one minor injury. We had our Chief and 7 members respond to assist. We were back in service at 12:27 PM.

08-16-13 AMA with Alton for MVA

At 6:04 AM we were called, via Automatic Mutual Aide (AMA), with Alton for a vehicle off  the road on a curve.  There was one person in the vehicle that had a minor head injury.  Alton canceled our response. We had our 2nd Assistant Chief and 4 firefighters who respond. We were back in service at 06:41 AM.

08-13-13 Sodus Point Request Thermo-Image Camera

At 8:36 PM Sodus Point request our Thermo-Image Camera to a mobile home fire. Caller states possible fire in the wall, they could smell something burning. We had our 4 Chiefs and 15 firefighters make the response. We were back in service at 9:02 PM.

08-10-13 Standby for Fireworks

At 8:50 PM we left to standby during a Fireworks display on North Road. We had our 3 Chiefs and 4 members standing by. We were back in service at 9:21 PM

 08-06-13 AMA with Sodus Auto-alarm.

At 11:35 AM we were called out with Sodus via Automatic Mutual Aid (AMA) for an auto-alarm on Maple Avenue. Workers working on Auto-alarm tripped the alarm. Our response was canceled. Our Chief and 3 firefighters respond to the call. We were back in service at 11:44 AM

07-22-13 Motorcycle Accident

At 8:13 PM we were dispatched motorcycle accident in a driveway on Ridge Road. The resident was riding his motorcycle in the driveway when the throttle stuck and last control. The rider complained of sever shoulder pain.. Our response consists of our 4 Chiefs and 15 members. We were back in service at 8:30 PM

07-20-13 Gas Leak

At 4:11 PM we were dispatched to a lot in a mobile home park on Ridge Road for an odor of gas.  The homeowner was in the process of dismantling a mobile home and notices a gas odor. He stated the gas had been shutoff. The gas was coming from a crack in the gas line prior to the meter. Our 2nd Assistance Chief request Fire Control to notify RG&E and we stood by until RG&E arrived. We had our 2nd Assistance Chief and 9 members respond the call. We back in service at 5:31 PM.

07-19-13 4 Hazardous Conditions

From 8:15 PM to 9:31 PM Fire Control dispatched us 4 times for trees and / or wires down blocking the road during and after a sever storm passed through the area. We removed the tree from the road. We had our 2nd Assistance Chief and 12 members covered all the calls.

 07-18-13 AMA with Sodus Auto-alarm.

 At 8:21 PM we were called out with Sodus via Automatic Mutual Aid (AMA) for an auto-alarm and smoke from an apartment on Newark Street. Upon arrival on the scene, Sodus canceled our response. The alarm was tripped by burnt food. Our 4 Chiefs and 11 firefighters respond to the call. We were back in service at 8:37 PM.

 07-18-13  AMA with Sodus Auto-alarm.

 At 1:22 PM we were called out with Sodus via Automatic Mutual Aid (AMA) for an auto-alarm on Maple Avenue. Upon arrival on the scene, Sodus canceled our response. The alarm was accidentally tripped. Our Chief and 3 firefighters respond to the call. We were back in service at 1:27 PM.

 07-14-12  Standby for Alton and Fire Police 

 At 4:15 PM Alton request us to standby at our hall while they were responding to possible house fire on Route 14. There was a small fire and was extinguished quickly. Law enforcement asked us to assist with traffic at the incident. We had our 4 Chiefs and 11 firefighters who respond. We were back in service 6:30 PM.

 07-14-13  Assist Sodus Center with a controlled burn

 At 7:37 AM we left to assist Sodus Center with burning a large house on Sodus Center Road. We had our 4 Chiefs and 6 members respond. We were back in service at 9:37 AM.

07-05-13 Hazardous Conditions

At 9:18 AM Fire Control dispatched us to 6455 North Geneva Road. Caller stated that there was excessive loose stone on the road, could possibly be a hazard for vehicles especially motor cycles. Our Chief said there’s about a quarter of a mile of loose stone. He request a tractor with a sweeper attached to clean the road. We stayed and assist until the road was cleared. We had our 4 Chiefs and 4 members at the call. We were back in service at 10:07 AM.

7-03-13 Standby for Sodus Point Fireworks

Where were request by Sodus Point to standby during their Fourth of July Fireworks display. We had 2 Chiefs and 7 members standing by

06-24-13 Chief Investigation

At 10:08 AM the County Dispatch called for a Chief to investigate a pile of Mobile Home parts being burned on Boyd Road. Parts. The complainant thought the parts contained asbestos. Our Chief reported to Fire Control that the fire would extinguished and the debris be put in the dumpster. Our Chief and 2 members responded. We were back in service at 10:21 AM.

06-22-13 One Vehicle MVA

At 2:31 AM we were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident (MVA) at Sergeant Road involving a car into a wooded area possibly hitting a tree. There was no entrapment. There were only minor injuries if any. We had 2 Chiefs and 8 members respond to assist. We were back in service at 4:03 AM.

06-21-13 AMA with Alton Vehicle Fire

At 12:04 PM we received a call for Mutual Aid (AMA) with Alton to a vehicle fire at Route 104 and Route14. On arrival, the vehicle was fully engulfed. The victims in the vehicle stated that the vehicle burst into flames. There were 3 victims taken to hospitals for burns. The fire was extinguished and  the Officer in charge request the State DOT to check the road surface. We were back in service at 1:36 PM. Responding to the call were our 4 Chiefs and 14 members.

06-21-13 Mutual Aid with Sodus Point for a Structure Fire

 At 5:52 AM we were called to assist Sodus Point with barn fire on Maxwell Road. On Sodus Point’s arrival they flames were visiable. There was a quick knock down of the fire and over was done to checked for hot spots. Wayne County Fire Investigating Team was called in to determine the cause. We had our 4 Chiefs and 17 firefighters respond. We were back in service at 8:56 PM.

06-20-13 Mutual Aid with Sodus Point for a Structure Fire

At 7:42 PM we were called to assist Sodus Point with small garage fire. On Sodus Point’s arrival the garage fully engulfed. There was a quick knock down of the fire and over was done to checked for hot spots. Wayne County Fire Investigating Team was called in to determine the cause. We had our 4 Chiefs and 17 firefighters respond. We were back in service at 8:56 PM.

06-12-13 Pedestrian Struck

At 6:01 PM we were called for a pedestrian struck by a vehicle on South Geneva Road. The pedestrian was a small child riding their bicycle. The Sodus Ambulance took the victim to Strong Memorial Hospital. We had our Fire Captain and 6 members respond to the call. We were back in service at 6:25 PM

06-11-13 Utility Pole down on a Vehicle

At 6:30 AM we were called for a utility pole down on a vehicle with wires down on Sergeant Road. The pole had rolled off the vehicle on arrival. Our Chief asked to have RG&E notified. We left when RG&E arrived. We had our Chief and 3 firefighters who made the response. We were back in service at 7:39 AM.

06-06-13 Residential Water Problems

At 7:20 PM we were dispatched to a residence with water in their basement on Kelly Road. The resident informed Fire Control that the water was 1 to 2 feet deep and the sump pump had quit. We pumped the water out of their basement and left our pump with owner until his sump pump is repaired. We had our 4th Assistant Chief and 4 members respond. We were back in service at 7:55 PM.

06-01-13 Assist East Williamson with a controlled burn

At 5:14 PM we left to assist East Williamson with burning a large house on Ridge Road. We had our 2nd Assistant Chief and 5 members respond. We were back in service at 9:11 PM.

5-28-13 AMA with Sodus for Electrical Fire

 At 2:51 PM we were called out with Sodus via Automatic Mutual Aid (AMA) for a possible electrical fire in an overhead light at West Main Street. The caller stated that they came home and the area around the light over the stove was burnt.  Upon arrival on the scene, Sodus first assistance Chief canceled our response. Our Chief and 7 firefighters respond to the call. We were back in service at 3:05 PM.

05-24-13 Mutual Aid with Sodus Point for a Structure Fire

 At 1:45 PM we were called to assist Sodus Point with a house fire. There was a quick knock down of the fire and the house checked for hot spots. One person was treated for anxiety attack. Wayne County Fire Investigating Team was called in to determine the cause. We had 3 Chiefs and 16 firefighters respond. We were back in service at 3:33 PM.

05-11-13 Assist Sodus Center Ambulance with lifting

 At 12:24 PM Sodus Center Ambulance request our assistance with lifting. While reroute Sodus Center canceled our response. We had 3 firefighters answered the call. We were back in service at 12:37 PM.

05-04-13 Stand by at Williamson Fire Hall

At 8:30 AM we were requested to stand by in Williamson Fire quarters. We had our 3rd Assistant Chief and 4 firefighters stood by at Williamson. We were back in service at 1:20 PM.

05-02-13 Hazardous Conditions

At 9:42 PM Fire Control dispatched us to a house on Boyd Road that the resident stated funny odor from the stove. Caller said it could possibly be gas odor. We checked the whole house for gas odor and found none. We had 2 Chiefs and 7 members at the call. Were back in service at 10:14 PM.

05-02-13 Assist Alton with a Brush Fire

At 12:51 PM Alton request us to standby in our hall for possible assist with a grass, brush, and pallet fire on Brisco Cove Road. The fire was spreading toward the garage. When Alton first unit was approaching the scene, they requested us to the scene to assist. We had our Chief and 10 firefighters make the response. We were back in service at 2:14 PM.

04-30-13 Gas Main Hit in Sodus Village

At 8:26 AM we were dispatched to assist Sodus FD with Traffic Control around a gas main leak in Sodus Village. The Village highway department was preparing the side of Gaylord Street to install new curbs and broke off a sealed outlet on the gas main. We had 2 members respond. We back in service at 10:16 AM.

04-27-13 Stand by at Alton Fire Hall

 At  6:00 PM we were requested to stand by in Alton Fire quarters while they were attending their annual banquet. There were 3 firefighters stood by at Alton. We were back in service at 12:00 AM.

 04-26-13 AMA Assist Alton with MVA

 At 8:52 AM we were dispatched via Automatic Mutual Aid (AMA) with Alton for a Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA) involving a tractor-trailer and a car. Alton Command canceled our response went they arrived on the scene. There were no serious injuries. We had 3 Chiefs and 6 members responded to the incident. We were back in service at 9:03 AM

04-22-13 ADT Smoke Detector Activation

 At 8:59 PM we were dispatched to a resident ADT Smoke/Fire Detector Activation on Ridge Road. We checked the house and determined the cause was burnt food. We had our 3rd and 4th Assistant Chief and 10 firefighters responded to the call. We were back in service at 9:12 PM.

04-19-13 Assist Alton with Fatal MVA

 At 11:22 PM we were dispatched to assist Alton with traffic control at Route 104 and Bond Road for a vehicle rolled over in the woods. Alton Command requested 3 ambulances. The ambulances transported 3 victims to hospitals. One victim was dead on arrival at the hospital. We had 3 Chiefs and 7 members responded the incident. We were back in service at 1:43 AM.

04-17-13 Smoke Detector Activation

At 5:58 PM we were dispatched to a resident Smoke/Fire Detector Activation on Ridge Road. The resident stated they burnt food, but the Detector would not reset. We cleared the house of the smoke and made sure the smoke detector reset. We had our 1st Assistant Chief and 7 firefighters responded to the call. We were back in service at 6:08 PM.

04-13-13 Residential Water Problems

At 3:38 PM we were dispatched to a residence with water in their basement on Kelly Road. The resident informed Fire Control that the water had reached the breakers and the sump pump had shut off. We pumped the water out of their basement and checked the breakers. We had our 2nd Assistant Chief and 8 members respond. We were back in service at 4:41 PM

04-01-13 Hazardous Conditions

At 9:02 PM Fire Control dispatched us to a tree leaning on power lines with sparks falling on Sergeant Road. When our Chief arrived on the scene, he asked Fire Control to have RG&E respond to the scene.  We stood by to protect surrounding area until RG&E arrived and made it safe for us to extinguish any hot spots. We had our Chief, 3rd Assistant Chief and 6 members respond to the call. Were back in service at 10:21 PM.

03-26-13 One Vehicle MVA

At 6:55 AM we were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident (MVA) at North Geneva Road and Glover Road involving a car into a tree. There was no entrapment. One victim was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital. We had 2 Chiefs and 8 members respond to assist. We were back in service at 7:30 AM.

03-23-13 Stand by at Williamson Fire Hall

At 4:45 PM we were requested to stand by in Williamson Fire quarters while they were attending their annual banquet. There were 3 Chiefs and 7 firefighters stood by at Williamson. We were back in service at 11:15 PM.

03-22-13 AMA with Alton for MVA

At 2:24 PM we were called, via Automatic Mutual Aide (AMA), with Alton for a garage fire on Brick Church Road. The garage was fully engulfed upon arrival. Sodus Center Fire and Ambulance were also called to the scene. We had our 4 Chiefs and 14 firefighters who respond. We were back in service at 5:22 PM.

3-20-13 AMA w/ Sodus for Dryer Fire

At 5:00 PM we were dispatched via Automatic Mutual Aide (AMA), with Sodus for a dryer fire on Curtis Avenue. Upon arrival, Sodus Command canceled our response. We had our 3 Assistant Chiefs and 11 firefighters responded to the call. We were back in service at 5:10 PM.

3-18-13 Assist Alton Ambulance with lifting

At 1:00 PM we were called to assist Alton Ambulance with lifting on Ridge Road. Our 3rd Assistant Chief and 3 firefighters answered the call. We were back in service at 1:27 PM.

03-15-13 F.A.S.T. Team to Rose Possible Chimney Fire

At  5:03 PM our Firefighter Assist and Search Team (FAST) was dispatched via Automatic Mutual Aid (AMA) to a chimney fire on Salter Colvin Road in North Rose. The caller stated the chimney was glowing and some smoke. The North Rose Chief canceled our response when he arrived at the scene.  We had 3 Chiefs and 5 members respond to the call. We were back in service at 5:16 PM.

03-13-13 AMA with Alton for MVA

 At 4:56 PM we were called, via Automatic Mutual Aide (AMA), with Alton for a Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA) at Route 14 and Route 104. We handled the traffic control at Bond Road – Route 104 and Preenption Road – Route 104 intersections. We had 4 Chiefs and 11 firefighters who respond. We were back in service at 6:05 PM.

3-08-13 Alton Request us to Stand-by

At 5:22 PM Alton request us to stand by in quarters while they were assisting Rose at a chimney/house fire. Our Chief, 2nd Assistant Chief, and 8 firefighters responded to the call. We were back in service at 8:11 PM.

3-08-13 Smoke Detector Activation

At 12:12 PM we were dispatched to a resident Smoke Detector Activation on Creekside Lane. Fire Control noted that the alarm company stated the homeowner said it was caused by burnt food. Our Chief investigated and confirmed that it was burnt food. We had our Chief and 3 firefighters responded to the call. We were back in service at 12:25 PM.

03-03-13 F.A.S.T. Team to North Rose Possible Chimney Fire

At  5:10 PM our Firefighter Assist and Search Team (FAST) was dispatched via Automatic Mutual Aid (AMA) to a chimney fire on Fifth Road in North Rose. The caller stated there were flames coming from the chimney.  The smoke detector inside the house was going off. The North Rose Chief canceled our response when he arrived at the scene. We had our 4 Chiefs and 12 members respond to the call. We were back in service at 5:18 PM.

03-01-13 Assist Sodus w/ Fire Police at a Two Vehicle MVA

At 4:47 PM we were dispatched to assist Sodus with Fire Police for a motor vehicle accident (MVA) at Route 104 and Ridge Road involving two vehicles. There was no entrapment. Injuries consist of a head and possible neck injury. One injured victim was taken to Rochester General Hospital. We had our 2nd and 3rd Assistant Chief and 8 members respond to assist. We were back in service at 5:25 PM.
