05-11-13 Assist Sodus Center Ambulance with lifting

 At 12:24 PM Sodus Center Ambulance request our assistance with lifting. While reroute Sodus Center canceled our response. We had 3 firefighters answered the call. We were back in service at 12:37 PM.

05-04-13 Stand by at Williamson Fire Hall

At 8:30 AM we were requested to stand by in Williamson Fire quarters. We had our 3rd Assistant Chief and 4 firefighters stood by at Williamson. We were back in service at 1:20 PM.

05-02-13 Hazardous Conditions

At 9:42 PM Fire Control dispatched us to a house on Boyd Road that the resident stated funny odor from the stove. Caller said it could possibly be gas odor. We checked the whole house for gas odor and found none. We had 2 Chiefs and 7 members at the call. Were back in service at 10:14 PM.

05-02-13 Assist Alton with a Brush Fire

At 12:51 PM Alton request us to standby in our hall for possible assist with a grass, brush, and pallet fire on Brisco Cove Road. The fire was spreading toward the garage. When Alton first unit was approaching the scene, they requested us to the scene to assist. We had our Chief and 10 firefighters make the response. We were back in service at 2:14 PM.

04-30-13 Gas Main Hit in Sodus Village

At 8:26 AM we were dispatched to assist Sodus FD with Traffic Control around a gas main leak in Sodus Village. The Village highway department was preparing the side of Gaylord Street to install new curbs and broke off a sealed outlet on the gas main. We had 2 members respond. We back in service at 10:16 AM.

04-27-13 Stand by at Alton Fire Hall

 At  6:00 PM we were requested to stand by in Alton Fire quarters while they were attending their annual banquet. There were 3 firefighters stood by at Alton. We were back in service at 12:00 AM.

 04-26-13 AMA Assist Alton with MVA

 At 8:52 AM we were dispatched via Automatic Mutual Aid (AMA) with Alton for a Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA) involving a tractor-trailer and a car. Alton Command canceled our response went they arrived on the scene. There were no serious injuries. We had 3 Chiefs and 6 members responded to the incident. We were back in service at 9:03 AM

04-22-13 ADT Smoke Detector Activation

 At 8:59 PM we were dispatched to a resident ADT Smoke/Fire Detector Activation on Ridge Road. We checked the house and determined the cause was burnt food. We had our 3rd and 4th Assistant Chief and 10 firefighters responded to the call. We were back in service at 9:12 PM.

04-19-13 Assist Alton with Fatal MVA

 At 11:22 PM we were dispatched to assist Alton with traffic control at Route 104 and Bond Road for a vehicle rolled over in the woods. Alton Command requested 3 ambulances. The ambulances transported 3 victims to hospitals. One victim was dead on arrival at the hospital. We had 3 Chiefs and 7 members responded the incident. We were back in service at 1:43 AM.

04-17-13 Smoke Detector Activation

At 5:58 PM we were dispatched to a resident Smoke/Fire Detector Activation on Ridge Road. The resident stated they burnt food, but the Detector would not reset. We cleared the house of the smoke and made sure the smoke detector reset. We had our 1st Assistant Chief and 7 firefighters responded to the call. We were back in service at 6:08 PM.

04-13-13 Residential Water Problems

At 3:38 PM we were dispatched to a residence with water in their basement on Kelly Road. The resident informed Fire Control that the water had reached the breakers and the sump pump had shut off. We pumped the water out of their basement and checked the breakers. We had our 2nd Assistant Chief and 8 members respond. We were back in service at 4:41 PM

04-01-13 Hazardous Conditions

At 9:02 PM Fire Control dispatched us to a tree leaning on power lines with sparks falling on Sergeant Road. When our Chief arrived on the scene, he asked Fire Control to have RG&E respond to the scene.  We stood by to protect surrounding area until RG&E arrived and made it safe for us to extinguish any hot spots. We had our Chief, 3rd Assistant Chief and 6 members respond to the call. Were back in service at 10:21 PM. 

03-26-13 One Vehicle MVA

At 6:55 AM we were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident (MVA) at North Geneva Road and Glover Road involving a car into a tree. There was no entrapment. One victim was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital. We had 2 Chiefs and 8 members respond to assist. We were back in service at 7:30 AM.

03-23-13 Stand by at Williamson Fire Hall

At 4:45 PM we were requested to stand by in Williamson Fire quarters while they were attending their annual banquet. There were 3 Chiefs and 7 firefighters stood by at Williamson. We were back in service at 11:15 PM.

03-22-13 AMA with Alton for MVA

At 2:24 PM we were called, via Automatic Mutual Aide (AMA), with Alton for a garage fire on Brick Church Road. The garage was fully engulfed upon arrival. Sodus Center Fire and Ambulance were also called to the scene. We had our 4 Chiefs and 14 firefighters who respond. We were back in service at 5:22 PM.

3-20-13 AMA w/ Sodus for Dryer Fire

At 5:00 PM we were dispatched via Automatic Mutual Aide (AMA), with Sodus for a dryer fire on Curtis Avenue. Upon arrival, Sodus Command canceled our response. We had our 3 Assistant Chiefs and 11 firefighters responded to the call. We were back in service at 5:10 PM.

3-18-13 Assist Alton Ambulance with lifting

At 1:00 PM we were called to assist Alton Ambulance with lifting on Ridge Road. Our 3rd Assistant Chief and 3 firefighters answered the call. We were back in service at 1:27 PM.

03-15-13 F.A.S.T. Team to Rose Possible Chimney Fire

At  5:03 PM our Firefighter Assist and Search Team (FAST) was dispatched via Automatic Mutual Aid (AMA) to a chimney fire on Salter Colvin Road in North Rose. The caller stated the chimney was glowing and some smoke. The North Rose Chief canceled our response when he arrived at the scene.  We had 3 Chiefs and 5 members respond to the call. We were back in service at 5:16 PM.

03-13-13 AMA with Alton for MVA

 At 4:56 PM we were called, via Automatic Mutual Aide (AMA), with Alton for a Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA) at Route 14 and Route 104. We handled the traffic control at Bond Road – Route 104 and Preenption Road – Route 104 intersections. We had 4 Chiefs and 11 firefighters who respond. We were back in service at 6:05 PM.

3-08-13 Alton Request us to Stand-by

At 5:22 PM Alton request us to stand by in quarters while they were assisting Rose at a chimney/house fire. Our Chief, 2nd Assistant Chief, and 8 firefighters responded to the call. We were back in service at 8:11 PM.

3-08-13 Smoke Detector Activation

At 12:12 PM we were dispatched to a resident Smoke Detector Activation on Creekside Lane. Fire Control noted that the alarm company stated the homeowner said it was caused by burnt food. Our Chief investigated and confirmed that it was burnt food. We had our Chief and 3 firefighters responded to the call. We were back in service at 12:25 PM.

03-03-13 F.A.S.T. Team to North Rose Possible Chimney Fire

At  5:10 PM our Firefighter Assist and Search Team (FAST) was dispatched via Automatic Mutual Aid (AMA) to a chimney fire on Fifth Road in North Rose. The caller stated there were flames coming from the chimney.  The smoke detector inside the house was going off. The North Rose Chief canceled our response when he arrived at the scene. We had our 4 Chiefs and 12 members respond to the call. We were back in service at 5:18 PM.

03-01-13 Assist Sodus w/ Fire Police at a Two Vehicle MVA

At 4:47 PM we were dispatched to assist Sodus with Fire Police for a motor vehicle accident (MVA) at Route 104 and Ridge Road involving two vehicles. There was no entrapment. Injuries consist of a head and possible neck injury. One injured victim was taken to Rochester General Hospital. We had our 2nd and 3rd Assistant Chief and 8 members respond to assist. We were back in service at 5:25 PM.

2-28-13 Order of Gas in a Residence

At 5:22 PM we were dispatched to an odor of gas on Boyd Road. Our investigation found a gas meter leaking and turned the incident over to RG$E. We had 2nd and 3rd Assistant Chief and 9 members respond. We back in service at 6:04 PM

2-28-13 Link to Life Activation

At 8:24 AM we were dispatched via Link to Life Activation on Ridge Road. Fire Control noted that the resident stated in was caused by burnt toast. Our Chief investigated to assure that there weren’t any hot spots and request our exhaust fan to clear the smoke. We had 2 Chiefs and 3 firefighters responded to the call. We were back in service at 8:53 AM.

2-27-13  House full of smoke

At 3:54 PM we were dispatched to North Road for a house full of smoke. Upon arrival intense smoke was coming out of the house. We request assistance from Alton, Sodus, Sodus Center and East Williamson Firefighter Assist and Search Team (F.A.S.T.).  We had 3 Chiefs and 19 members respond to the call. We were back in service at 9:48 PM.

 2-27-13 AMA w/ Sodus for Fire Alarm Activation

At 3:10 PM we were dispatched via Automatic Mutual Aide (AMA), with Sodus for Fire Alarm Activation on Foley Drive. Fire Control noted that an Alarm Technician was working on the alarm system and didn’t notify them. Sodus Command advised us to stay in quarters. We had our 2nd Assistant Chiefs and 2 firefighters responded to the call. We were back in service at 3:19 PM.

2-20-13 AMA to Alton for Basement full of smoke

At 7:14 AM we were dispatched via Automatic Mutual Aid (AMA) with Alton to a basement full of smoke on the corner of Route 14 and Ridge Road. The smoke was from the hot water tank burning. We had 3 Chiefs and 6 members respond to the call. We were back in service at 7:54 AM.

2-14-13 AMA w/ Sodus for Fire Alarm Activation

 At 3:03 PM we were dispatched via Automatic Mutual Aide (AMA), with Sodus for Fire Alarm Activation on Newark Street. Sodus Command determined that it was caused by burnt food and advised Fire Control to cancel our response. We had 2 Chiefs and 3 firefighters responded to the call. We were back in service at 3:08 PM.

2-4-13 AMA with Sodus for CO2 Detector Activation

At 7:07 AM we were dispatched via Automatic Mutual Aid (AMA) for CO2 Detector Activation on Mud Lane. The investigation found it to be a faulty detector. Two Chiefs and 5 firefighters responded to the call. We were back in service at 7:33 AM.

2-1-13 Mutual Aid to Sodus Center House Fire

At 1:06 AM we were dispatched for Mutual Aid to a house full of smoke. Upon arrival, Sodus Center command notified us to stay in quarters. Our 4 Chiefs and 8 members responded to the call. We were back in service at 1:16 AM.

1-31-13 AMA to North Rose Possible Structure Fire

At  4:36 PM we dispatched via Automatic Mutual Aid (AMA) to a possible house fire in North Rose. The light fixture in the kitchen was arching. Upon arrival, North Rose Chief notified us to stay in quarters. We had 2 Chiefs and 9 members respond to the call. We were back in service at 4:58 PM.

 At 8:44 PM we were called to assist Sodus Center Ambulance with lifting. We had 2 Assistant Chiefs and 4 firefighters answered the call. We were back in service at 9:22 PM.

1-10-13 F.A.S.T. Team and Tanker to Sodus Center House Fire

At 3:59 PM our “Firefighter Assist and Search Team” (FAST) and Tanker was dispatched to a house fire on Arcadia Zurich Norris Road. The caller stated smoke coming from under the house. Our 4 Chiefs and 20 members responded to the call. We were back in service at 4:59 PM.

 1-9-13 AMA w/ Sodus for Fire Alarm Activation

At 3:19 PM we were dispatched via Automatic Mutual Aide (AMA), with Sodus for a Fire Alarm Activation on Foley Drive. Sodus command advised us to hold in quarters. Upon arrival, a faulty detector was determined as the cause. Sodus Command advised Fire Control to cancel our response. We had our Chief and 3rd Assistance Chief and 7 firefighters responded to the call. We were back in service at 3:28 PM.

01-3-13 F.A.S.T. Team to North Rose Possible Chimney Fire

At  1:50 PM our “Firefighter Assist and Search Team” (FAST) was dispatched via Automatic Mutual Aid (AMA) to a chimney fire on Catchpole Road in North Rose. The caller stated there was black smoke coming from the chimney.  There was no smoke inside the house. Upon arrival of the first firefighter, stated no fire and cancel our response. We had our Chief and 11 members respond to the call. We were back in service at 2:07 PM.

12-27-12 CO2 Detector Activation

 At 1:14 PM we were dispatched for CO2 Detector Activation on Ridge Road. Upon arrival in was found to be a faulty detector. Residence was going to have the furnace checked. Three Chiefs and 6 firefighters responded to the call. We were back in service at 1:56 PM.

12-26-12 AMA w/ Sodus for Fire AlarmActivation

At 10:54 AM we were dispatched via Automatic Mutual Aide (AMA), with Sodus for Fire Alarm Activation on Newark Street. Sodus command advised us to hold in quarters. Upon arrival, it was found to be activated by a child pulling the alarm. Sodus Command advised Fire Control to cancel our response. We had our 2nd Assistance Chief and 6 firefighters responded to the call. We were back in service at 11:09 AM.

12-24-12 Two Vehicle MVA

At 10:07 PM we were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident (MVA) at Route 104 and North Geneva Road involving a car and a small Pick-up Truck. The car was upside down in the middle of the road. There was no entrapment. Two victims needed assistance getting out of the vehicle. There were 4 injured victims who were taken to Strong Hospital. We had our 3 Chiefs and 19 members respond to assist. We were back in service at 11:34 PM.

12-19-12 AMA w/ Sodus for Fire/Smoke Detector Activation

At 5:54 PM we were dispatched via Automatic Mutual Aide (AMA), with Sodus for Fire/Smoke Detector Activation on Newark Street. Upon arrival, it was found to be activated by burnt food. Sodus Command advised Fire Control to cancel our response. We hand 2 Chiefs and 6 firefighters responded to the call. We were back in service at 6:01 PM.

12-13-12 Hazardous Conditions

At 7:44 AM Fire Control dispatched us to a couch burning outside the residence with possible smoke in the house. We extinguished the couch and check for any fire in the house. The resident told us to leave. Our Chief requested law enforcement. When they arrived we left. We had 3 Chiefs and 11 members respond to the call. Were back in service at 7:59 AM. 

12-06-12 AMA w/ Sodus for Fire /Smoke Detector Activation

At 5:06 PM we were dispatched via Automatic Mutual Aide (AMA), with Sodus for Fire/Smoke Detector Activation on Foley Drive. Upon arrival, there was no fire.  Sodus Command advised Fire Control to have us stand by in quarters. Our 4th assistant Chief and 7 firefighters responded to the call. We were back in service at 5:20 PM.

12-06-12 AMA with Alton for MVA

At 11:02 AM we were called, via Automatic Mutual Aide (AMA), with Alton for a Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA) at Route 14 and Route 104. Upon arrival, Alton canceled our response.  We had 3 Chiefs and 8 firefighters who respond. We were back in service at 11:36 AM.

11-18-12 Mutual Aide with Sodus Center for Motor Vehicle/Deer Accident

At 5:27 PM we were called to assist Sodus Center for a Motor Vehicle/Deer Accident at South Geneva and Sodus Center Road. Upon arrival, Sodus Center canceled our response. We had 2 Chiefs and 13 firefighters respond. We were back in service at 5:42 PM.

11-10-12 F.A.S.T. Team to North Rose Possible Structure Fire

At  4:58 AM our Firefighter Assist and Search Team (FAST) was dispatched via Automatic Mutual Aid (AMA) to a possible structure fire in North Rose. An employee of a convenient store made the call. There was smoke coming from a vent and could smell something burning. Upon arrival, North Rose Chief notified us to stay in quarters. They found a problem with the furnace and notified the manager. We had 3 Chiefs and 6 members respond to the call. We were back in service at 5:09 AM.

11-01-12 MVA – 1 Vehicle off the Road

At 8:32 AM we were called to a Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA) at Route 104 and Barclay Road. The vehicle in the MVA hit some trees. There was one minor leg injury to one victim and another victim complaining of a sore back. We had our Chief and 8 firefighters who respond. We were back in service at 9:49 AM.

11-01-12 Residential Water Problems

At 6:44 AM we were dispatched to a residence with water up to their knees in their basement on Ridge Road. On arrival, the resident informed our 3rd Assistant Chief that the Sump Pump had shut off but had restated. We did not need to pump the water out of their basement. We had our 3rd Assistant Chief and 2 members respond. We were back in service at 6:59 AM.

10-30-12 Hazardous Conditions

At 1:26 PM Fire Control dispatched us to a tree down on wires with the wires arching on Ridge Road. We were unable to do anything because of the wires. The tree was off the road and no apparent threat to the area, Chief asked Fire Control to advise RG&E of situations and cleared the call. We had our Chief and 10 members respond to the call. Were back in service at 1:47 PM. 

10-30-12 Hazardous Conditions

At 12:17 AM Fire Control dispatched us to a tree blocking part of the road at State Street and Kelly Road. We removed the tree from the road. We had 3 Chiefs and 7 members at the call. Were back in service at 12:42 AM.

10-29-12 Standby for Storm & Red Cross Shelter

At 6:00 PM our Chief called for a Standby for Storm & Red Cross Shelter.We had 3 Chiefs, 13 active members and other volunteers at our hall for any emergencies and/or manning our hall as a Red Cross Shelter. We were cleared at 1:00 AM.

10-27-12 Out of Control Bonfire

At 7:35 PM we were dispatched for a bonfire that got out of control on Boyd Road. The fire was a controlled burn until the wind shifted.  Responding to the call with our 2nd Assistant Chief were 8 firefighters.

10-27-12 Code F – Funeral for Bill Camp

 At 11:00 AM our Chief called for a Code F (funeral) for Bill Camp’s funeral and burial. Our 4 Chiefs, 41 Active and 5 Senior members attended the funeral. We were back in service at 1:00 PM.

 At 4:00 PM our Chief called for a Code F (funeral) for the Calling Hours for Bill Camp. Our 4 Chiefs, 38 Active and 5 Senior members attended the calling. We were back in service at 7:30 PM.

10-25-12 AMA w/ Sodus for Fire /Smoke Detector Activation

 At 4:03 PM we were dispatched via Automatic Mutual Aide (AMA), with Sodus for Fire/Smoke Detector Activation on Foley Drive. Upon arrival, there was no fire. Sodus Command advised Fire Control to have us stand by in quarters. Our 4 Chiefs and 9 firefighters responded to the call. We were back in service at 4:12 PM.

 10-21-12 Assist State Police gain access to Residence

 At 8:30 AM were dispatched to assist State Police to gain access to a residence to check the status of an 85-year-old male. After gaining access, the person was found to be all right except for being a little exhausted. We had 3 Chiefs and 8 firefighters respond to the call. We were back in service at 8:50 AM.

 10-19-12 AMA w/ Sodus for CO2 Detector Activation

 At 10:44 AM we were dispatched via Automatic Mutual Aide (AMA), with Sodus for a CO2 Detector Activation. Upon arrival, Sodus canceled our response. Our Chief and 5 firefighters responded to the call. We were back in service at 10:51 AM.

 At 3:26 PM we were dispatched via Automatic Mutual Aide (AMA), with Sodus for Fire/Smoke Detector Activation on Newark Street. Upon arrival, there was no fire. Sodus Command advised Fire Control to have us stand by in quarters. Our Chief, and 2nd Assistant and 4 firefighters responded to the call. We were back in service at 3:29 PM.

10-16-12 AMA with Alton for MVA

 At 1:30 PM we were called, via Automatic Mutual Aide (AMA), with Alton for a Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA) on Ridge Road. There was one minor injury. We had our Chief and 9 firefighters who respond. We were back in service at 2:21 PM.

10-15-12 AMA w/ Sodus for Structure

 At 10:56 AM we were dispatched via Automatic Mutual Aide (AMA), with Sodus for car in a shop on fire on Ridge Road. Upon arrival, Sodus Assistance Chief 19-2 stated that there was smoke showing from the shop. The structure was not on fire. The inside of the structure had smoke and water damage mostly. Our Chief, and 2nd Assistant and 12 firefighters responded to the call. We were back in service at 11:55 AM.

10-4-12 Our Chief assist Sodus Center with a MVA

 At 4:34 PM our Chief assisted at a Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA) a S. Geneva and Limekiln Road. The MVA was a truck had rolled over. The vehicle in the MVA hit a road sign. There were no or minor injuries. Our Chief was back in service at 4:56 PM.

 10-3-12 AMA w/ Sodus for Fire /Smoke Detector Activation

At 12:44 PM we were dispatched via Automatic Mutual Aide (AMA), with Sodus for Fire /Smoke Detector Activation on Union Street. Upon arrival, there was no fire. Sodus Assistance Chief 19-4 advised Fire Control to cancel our response. Our Chief and 3 firefighters responded to the call. We were back in service at 12:59 PM

9-9-12 Setup Mercy Flight Landing Zone

At 6:42 PM we were requested by Alton Ambulance to setup a Mercy Flight Landing Zone. They had a victim who had an ATV accident off Route 14. Our response consists of our 4 Chiefs and 23 members. We were back in service at 7:18 PM.

9-8-12 Wires Arching at Barclay Road and Route 104

At 9:44 PM we received a call for wires arching at Barclay Road and Route 104. On arrival our 3rd Assistance Chief found RG&E caution lights on the wires flashing. Fire Control notified RG&E. We had our 4 Chiefs and 6 members who made the response. We were back in service at 9:50 PM.

9-8-12 Tree and Wires Down Blocking Ridge Road

At 12:14 PM Fire Control dispatched us to a tree and wires down blocking both lanes on Ridge Road. Tree was across the road hitting the wires on the other side of the road. Tree was removed from the road and wires were in proper position. We had our 4 Chiefs and 8 members who made the response. Were back in service at 12:37 PM.

9-4-12 Transformer Arching

At 9:38 PM we received a call for a transformer fire in the substation at Barclay Road and Route 104. On arrival our 4th Assistance Chief found no flames but the substation red light was on. Fire Control notified RG&E. We had our 4 Chiefs and 7 members who made the response. We were back in service at 9:58 PM.

9-4-12 Transformer Arching

At 5:13 PM we received a call for a transformer arching on Ridge Road. On arrival our 3rd Assistance Chief found transformer blown. Fire Control notified RG&E. We had our 4 Chiefs and 6 members who made the response. We were back in service at 5:30 PM.

9-2-12 Setup Mercy Flight Landing Zone

At 1:15 PM we were requested by North Rose Ambulance to setup a Mercy Flight Landing Zone. They had a victim who was involved in a 2-vehicle accident on Sloop Landing Road. Our response consists of our Chief and 6 members. We were back in service at 2:03 PM.

8-9-12 Setup Mercy Flight Landing Zone

At 4:34 PM we were requested by Wolcott Ambulance to setup a Mercy Flight Landing Zone. They had a 12-year-old male victim who was in a bicycle accident with a head injury. Our response consists of 3 Chiefs and 9 members. We were back in service at 5:09 PM.

8-7-12 AMA w/ Sodus for Sprinkler/Water Flow Alarm Activation

At 10:57 AM we were dispatched via Automatic Mutual Aide (AMA), with Sodus for a Sprinkler/Water Flow Alarm Activation. Upon Sodus arrival it was determined that there was no fire and reset the alarm. Sodus canceled our response while we were in route. We had 2 Chiefs and 9 firefighters make the response. We were back in service at 11:15 AM.

8-1-12 Transformer Arching

At 1:11 AM we received a call for a transformer arching on Glover Road. On arrival found transformer blown with power out in the area. Fire Control notified RG&E. The senior firefighter on the scene reported the scene was secured and had all equipment returned to the hall. We had 4 members who made the response. We were back in service at 1:39 AM.

7-16-12 Alton Request a Pumper and Crew

At 2:09 PM Alton requested us to respond to Route 14 and Limkiln Road with a pumper and crew, wires were down on a vehicle. It was identified as a cable service wire down with no apparent danger. Our response was canceled. We had our Chief and 5 firefighters make the response. We were back in service at 2:14 PM.

7-14-12 Standby for  Alton 

 At 11:26 AM Alton request us to standby at our hall while they were responding to what was originally called in as Boathouse on fire from a boat passing by. The actual fire was a pile of leafs burning. We had 3 Chiefs and 9 firefighters who respond. We were back in service at 11:34 AM.

7-12-12 AMA with Alton for MVA

At 9:47 AM we were called, via Automatic Mutual Aide (AMA), with Alton to standby at our hall while Alton responds to a Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA) near Route 14 on Route 104. Possible cause was a black later model Mustang passing about 65 MPH on the wrong side. The vehicle in the MVA hit a road sign. There were no or minor injuries. We had our Chief and 12 firefighters who respond. We were back in service at 9:59 AM.

7-11-12 Two Calls for Control Burn

At 10:39 AM we dispatched for a possible fire reported by a walk-up at Alton Fire Hall. The fire was a controlled burn. Responding to the call were 2 Chiefs and 4 members.

At 11:30 AM our Chief was dispatched for a complaint about white smoke from the same controlled burn coming into neighbor’s windows. Our Chief checked the controlled burn and informed the caller that the controlled burn was almost done. Our Chief closed the call at 11:38.

7-10-12 Off-Road Rescue (ORR-32) Requested

 At 8:34 PM East Williamson requested our Off-Road Rescue to assist in rescuing a victim of a dirt bike accident on Russell Road. The request was canceled while we were in route to the scene.  We had all 4 of our Chiefs and 9 members respond. We were back in service at 8:47 PM

7-03-12 Standby for Sodus Point Fireworks

Where were request by Sodus Point to standby during their Fourth of July Fireworks display. We had our 2nd Assistant Chief and 4 members standing by.

6-28-12 Setup Mercy Flight Landing Zone

At 11:44 AM we were requested by a Sodus Fire Chief to setup a Mercy Flight Landing Zone for a victim in a motorcycle and Deer accident (MVA). They had a victim who was injured as a result of laying the motorcycle down. The Medic changed the request for Mercy Flight to meet them at Sodus/Williamson Airport. Our response of 2 Chiefs and 7 members was canceled. We were back in service at 11:59 AM.

 6-27-12 AMA w/ Sodus for Fire /Smoke Detector Activation

At 9:52 AM we were dispatched via Automatic Mutual Aide (AMA), with Sodus for Fire /Smoke Detector Activation. The alarm company advised Fire Control to Cancel. Our response continued as a precaution. Upon arrival, there was no fire. Our 4th Assistant Chief and 4 firefighters responded to the call. We were back in service at 10:14 AM

6-24-12 Two Vehicle MVA

At 4:42 PM we were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident (MVA) at Route 104 and Burlee Road involving a car and Tow Truck towing another vehicle. There was no entrapment. There were three victims who signed off medical assistance. We had our 4 Chiefs and 7 members respond to assist. We were back in service at 5:38 PM.

6-23-12 Two Vehicle MVA

At 6:38 PM we were dispatched to a 2-vehicle rear end collision motor vehicle accident (MVA) at Ridge Road. There was no entrapment. There were two victims who signed off medical assistance. We had our 4 Chiefs and 7 members respond to assist. We were back in service at 7:18 PM.

6-19-12 AMA w/ Sodus for CO2 Detector Activation

At 12:53 PM we were dispatched via Automatic Mutual Aide (AMA), with Sodus for CO2 Detector Activation. The caller was an 84 years of age male and stated he had chest pains. He also stated the alarm had been going off for about an hour. Upon arrival, Sodus canceled our response. Our Chief and 6 firefighters responded to the call. We were back in service at 12:58 PM.

 6-14-12 AMA with Alton for MVA

At 10:46 AM we were called, via Automatic Mutual Aide (AMA), with Alton for a Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA) near Stell Road on Route 14. A tractor-trailer had rolled on its side on to a guardrail and knocked down power lines. The power lines were on the truck. There were no injuries. We had our Chief and 6 firefighters who respond. We were back in service at 12:43 PM.

6-12-12 Two Vehicle MVA

At 8:25 AM we were dispatched to a 2-vehicle motor vehicle accident (MVA) at South Geneva Road and Route 104. There was no entrapment. There were minor injuries with one victim taken to hospital. We had 2 Chiefs and 8 members respond to assist. We were back in service at 9:20 AM.

6-6-12  Setup Mercy Flight Landing Zone

At 1:15 AM we were called to setup a Mercy Flight Landing Zone for North Rose Ambulance. They had a victim who was injured in a Motorcycle accident. Our response had 4 Chiefs and 12 members. We were back in service at 2:13 AM.

6-6-12  F.A.S.T. Team to North Rose Possible  House Fire

At 1:16 AM our Firefighter Assist and Search Team (FAST) was dispatched via Automatic Mutual Aid (AMA) to a possible house fire in North Rose. The call was made by a person passing by and reported an orange glow in back of the house. It actually was a big brush fire. Our 4 Chiefs and 11 members responded to the call. We were back in service at 1:26 AM.

5-29-12 Possible Electrical Fire

At 2:14 PM we were called out, via Automatic Mutual Aid with Sodus, for an electrical fire odor. The barn had been struck by lightning. There was no fire or damage. Our Chief took charge with 8 firefighters at the scene. We were back in service at 2:39 PM.

5-21-12 Report of a Structure Fire

At 9:33 PM we were called out with a report of a house or barn fire with flames coming out of the roof. On arrival our 3rd Assistant Chief confirmed the fire was a large well-attended Controlled Burn. No action was taken. We had our 4 Chiefs with 18 firefighters make the response. We were back in at 9:36 PM.

5-18-12 Large Fire in a Wooded Area

At 10:05 PM we were called out with a report of large fire in a wooded area. The fire was a well-attended Controlled Burn. No action was taken.  We had our 2nd and 3rd Assistant Chiefs with 9 firefighters make the response. We were back in at 10:11 PM.

5-16-12 Assist Medical Personnel w/ Victim Trapped

At 4:15 PM we were called to assist Medical Personnel with a victim who had fallen and was trapped. Our Chief and 3rd Assistant Chief with 7 firefighters answered the call. We were back in service at 5:05 PM.

05-10-12 Hazardous Conditions

At 3:53 PM Fire Control dispatched us to a house on Kelly Road that had a gas odor all through the house. Caller said it was possibly from a stove burner being left on. The problem was resolved and the house ventilated. We had 3 Chiefs and 5 members at the call. Were back in service at 5:12 PM

 

5-09-12 AMA with Alton for MVA

 

At 3:44 PM we were called, via Automatic Mutual Aide, with Alton for a Motor Vehicle Accident at York Settlement Road and Edmond Road. There was 2 vehicles involved. Two victims had minor injuries. One was transported to Newark Hospital via ambulance. We had our 4 Chiefs and 10 firefighters who respond. We were back in service at 4:42 PM.
