At 7:35 AM we were requested by Alton for assistances with CO2 Detector Activation on Ridge Road. The investigation found a problem with the detector. Our 3rd Assistant Chief and 10 firefighters responded from our hall. We were back in service at 8:03 AM.
At 3:12 PM we were requested by Alton for assistances with people in the residence getting sick when furnish is running on Ridge Road. The investigation found a problem with the furnace. RG&E was called to the scene and it was turned over to them on their arrival. Our 2nd Assistant Chief and 6 firefighters responded from our hall. We were back in service at 4:01 PM.
At 8:17 PM Fire Control dispatched us to a house on Kelley Road that the resident stated water pipe exploded and hear load noise in the basement. Caller also said steam was coming from furnace but no water. We turn the furnace off and checked everything in the basement and found no other problems and advises resident to call her furnace repair company. We had our 2nd Chief and 11 members at the call. Were back in service at 8:52 PM.
At 3:30AM we were dispatched to a resident for Smoke/Fire Detector Activation on Boyd Road. Our 2nd Assistant Chief found it was a vacant mobile home, and found nothing burning. We had our 2nd Assistant Chief and 4 firefighters responded to the call. We were back in service at 3:45AM
At 7:40 AM we were called to assist Wolcott with a possible structure fire on Catchpole Shore and Lake Bluff Road. The call came form Bay Bridge (across the Bay from the fire). On arrival, it was found that the owner had two control burns on his property. We had 2 Chiefs and 10 firefighters respond. We were back in service at 8:03 AM.
At 5:27 PM we were dispatched to a grass on Ridge Road. The fire was extinguished prior to our arrival. We had our 2 Chiefs and 15 firefighters make the response. We were back in service at 5:32 PM.
At 3:23 PM we were called to assist Rural Metro Ambulance with lifting on West Main Street in the village. We had 8 firefighter answered the call. We were back in service at 3:44 PM.
At 9:50 PM we were requested to assist North Rose with a shed fire on the Sand Bar off Leroy Island. Caller stated flames were approximately 20 feet high. There was no one at the residence. The only access was by boat. Firefighters were shuttled by North Rose and Sheriff boats. We had 3 Chiefs and 9 members respond to the call. We were back in service at 12:08 PM.
At 4:57 PM we were dispatched to a tractor trail verses car motor vehicle accident (MVA) at South Geneva Road and Route 104. There were 2 victims that signed of medical attention. We had 3 Chiefs and 14 members respond to assist. We were back in service at 5:47 PM.
At 9:45 PM County Fire Control dispatched us to a reported of an odor of gas on Ridge Road. The odor was from the stove that was left on. We had our Chief and 3rd Assistance Chief and 13 members respond the call. We were back in service at 10:08 PM.
