At 7:48 AM we were dispatched for a Motor Vehicle/Deer Accident on Burlee Road. The driver had facial cuts from the deer hitting the windshield. The victim was taken to Newark Hospital by ambulance. We had our 1st Assistant Chief and 9 firefighters respond. We were back in service at 8:42 AM.
At 5:10 PM we were dispatched via Automatic Mutual Aid (AMA) with Sodus for CO2 Detector Activation on Rotterdam Road. Sodus Command instructed us to standby in our hall. Our 2nd Assistant Chief and 4 firefighters responded to the call. We were back in service at 5:35 PM.
At 10:33 PM our Firefighter Assist and Search Team (FAST) was dispatched via Automatic Mutual Aid (AMA) to a house with CO2 detector activated and ceiling feels warm with no electrical power. The South Bulter Chief canceled our response while we in route to the scene. We had our 3rd Assistant Chief and 7 members respond to the call. We were back in service at 11:02 PM.
At 1:03 AM our Firefighter Assist and Search Team (F.A.S.T.) was dispatched via Automatic Mutual Aid (AMA) to a house filled with smoke on Ridge Road in North Rose. On arrival, the North Rose Comment requested our assistance in extinguishing the fire. We had our Chief and 1st Assistant Chief and 9 members respond to the call. We were back in service at 4:21 PM.
From 5:49 PM to 10:50 PM Fire Control dispatched us 3 times for trees and / or wires down blocking the road during and after a sever storm passed through the area. There were 2 incidents on Ridge Road and 1 on North Geneva Road. We removed the trees and cable and telephone wires that could from the road, but had to wait for RG&E the electrical wires that were down. We had 3 Chiefs and 17 members covered all the calls.
We were request by Sodus Point to standby during their Fourth of July Fireworks display 7:00 PM to 11:30 PM. We had our Chief and 5 members standing by.
At 5:47 PM we were dispatched via Automatic Mutual Aide (AMA), with Sodus for smoke in the building on Newark Street. It was determined that the smoke was from burnt food. We were put a standby. We had our Chief and 4 firefighters responded to the call. We were back in service at 6:06 PM.
At 8:02 PM we were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident (MVA) at Route 104 and Barclay Road involving one ATV into a tree. There was one victim with possible fracture leg. We had 2 Chiefs and 13 members respond to the incident. We were back in service at 8:45 PM.
At 8:19 PM we were requested by Silver Waters Ambulance to setup a Mercy Flight Landing Zones at our fire hall for a victims who fell off a shed roof. Mercy Flight diverted to Sodus-Williamson Airport. Our response consists of 2 Chiefs and 12 members. We were back in service at 8:29 PM.
At 00:02 AM Alton request Mutual Aid for a house fire on York Settlement Road. There were no people in the house at the time. We had 3 Chief and 15 firefighters make the response. We were back in service at 2:05 AM.
