At 4:27 PM Alton request us to assist with a lawn mower and leaves fire near a wooded area on Briscoe CV. The fire was spreading as the leaves were catching fire. Our response was canceled while in route. We had our Deputy Chief and 7 firefighters make the response. We were back in service at 5:13 PM.
At 5:19 PM the County Dispatch called for a Chief to investigate some piles being burned at North Geneva and Ridge Road. The complainant was concerned about it spreading to near by trees. Our 1st Assistant Chief reported to Fire Control that it was a controlled burn and being watched. Our 1st Assistant Chief and 6 members responded. We were back in service at 5:23 PM.
At 1:23 AM we received a call for Mutual Aid (MA) with Sodus Point for an apartment house fire on Bay Street. It was determined that there was no fire. A pan left on the stove filled the apt with smoke. Responding to the call were 2 Chiefs and 5 members. We were back in service at 1:31 AM.
At 5:25 PM we received a call for Mutual Aid (MA) with Sodus for a house fire Joy Road. Sodus request us to standby at their hall. Responding to the call were 3 Chiefs and 18 members. We were back in service at 6:18 PM.
At 11:36 AM we were dispatched via AMA (Automatic Mutual Aide) with North Rose for assistance with a possible structure fire on N. Main Street in North Rose. The caller stated an odor of something burning in the basement. It was determined the burning odor was from a burned out sump pump. We had 2 Chiefs and 9 firefighters responded. We were back in service at 11:50 AM.
At 1:09 AM we dispatched to a motor vehicle accident (MVA) at Route 104 and Bond Road involving a motorcycle and a deer. The cyclist didn’t appear to have any major injuries, but was taken to hospital to e checked out. We had our Chief and 7 firefighters who made the response. We were back in service at 2:20 PM.
At 1:15 PM Fire Control dispatched us to a residence on Ridge Road who didn’t know what was leaking under their sink. It was determined to be water. We had our Chief and 2 members respond to the call. Were back in service at 1:43 PM.
At 2:58 AM Fire Control dispatched us for a tree that had fallen half way across the road on Boyd Road. The tree was cleared from the road. We had our Chief and 3 members respond to the call. We were back in service at 2:58 AM.
At 8:05 PM we received a call for Mutual Aid (MA) with Sodus for a house fire on Pulver Road. Responding to the call were our 4 Chiefs and 23 members. We were back in service at 10:15 PM.
At 3:58 AM we were called to have our tanker (TA-22) assist Lyons with a house fire on Pilgrimport Road. It was believed to be a vacant house. Our response was canceled as it was determined that the fire was out.. We had our 1st Assistant Chief and 7 firefighters respond. We were back in service at 4:07 AM.
