At 4:52 PM we were called to assist Sodus Point with an apartment fire on Bay Road. It took about 30 minute to extinguish the fire and over all was done to check for hot spots. Wayne County Fire Investigating Team was called in to determine the cause. We had our 3 Chiefs and 17 firefighters respond. We were back in service at 5:37 PM.
At 4:04 PM we were called out to Route 104 and South Geneva Road with the caller reporting a lot of smoke in the area. The smoke was coming from a resident’s control burn. At our Chief’s request the owner extinguished the fire. We had 2 chiefs 4 firefighters respond to the call. We were back in service at 4:15 PM.
At 11:52 PM we were requested by Alton Ambulance to setup a Mercy Flight Landing Zone at our fire hall for a victim of a MVA (Motor Vehicle Accident). Our response consists of our 3rd Assistant Chief and 10 members. We were back in service at 12:38 AM.
At 1:49 PM we were called to assist Sodus, via AMA (Automatic Mutual Aid), with a barn fire on Maple Avenue. On arrival, it was found that a tractor in a barn was on fire and had been extinguished. We had 2 Chiefs and 18 firefighters respond. We were back in service at 2:30 PM.
At 11:27 PM we were requested by Silver Waters Ambulance to setup a Mercy Flight Landing Zone at the scene of a motor vehicle accident at Lake Road and North Geneva Road. Our response consists of our 3rd Assistant Chief and 9 members. We were back in service at 11:58 PM.
At 1:31 PM we dispatched for a controlled burn that got out of control. The fire was extinguished. Responding to the call were 3 Chiefs and 21 members. We were back in service at 2:13 PM.
At 10:25 PM we were dispatched to a residence with water in their basement up to the bottom stair step on Boyd Road. We pumped the water out of their basement. We had our 2nd Chief and 7 members respond. We were back in service at 11:28 PM.
At 10:27 AM we were called to assist Alton Ambulance with lifting on North Geneva Road. We had 2 firefighters answered the call. We were back in service at 10:35 AM.
At 4:26 AM we were dispatched for a CO2 Detector Activation on Boyd Road. It was determined that it was a faulty detector. We had 3 Chiefs and 7 firefighters responded to the call. We were back in service at 5:09 AM.
At 6:58 PM our Firefighter Assist and Search Team (FAST) was dispatched via Automatic Mutual Aid (AMA) to a house with sparks and smoke coming from electrical box on Gray Street in North Rose. The North Rose Chief canceled our response when he arrived at the scene. We had our 1st Assistant Chief and 12 members respond to the call. We were back in service at 7:02 PM.
